Last night, Hollywood rounded up every celebrity in site to walk down the red carpet at the Oscars in their most glamorous outfit. Today, we review. I was slightly disappointed by the choices. It seems that everyone played it safe this year, or there was something just slightly off about the style. None the less, there were a few stand outs.
Lupita’s Prada gown was a stunner for me. The color was unexpected and not something we see very often. The cut fit her perfectly and featured an amazing deep V in the front and back. Minimal accessories helped this look not get too close to princess material.
Chrissy is always one of my favorites. She has a playful sense of style and always keeps it down to Earth. Loved the floral print, so fresh for Spring. Mixed with the beachy waves and drop earrings, she (or her stylist) knows what she’s doing.
This cut reminded me of the light pink dress Anne wore recently, but has a much better fit.
At first I thought this dress was Zac Posen, so I was quite surprised when I found out it was by Dior. The bodice fits her like a glove and the bottom has an amazing flow and attention to detail. Hands down one of my favorites.
Metallic stretchy material is usually a big fat “no” on the red carpet, but Emma looks great. The paneling makes the dress fall just the right way, and I love the un-done up do.
Jennifer looks simple and polished in all the best ways. The necklace hanging at her back is really what solidified this look for me. I love using things in unexpected ways so this definitely gave me some ideas.
I could go on and on about this Atelier Versace creation but I will keep it short and sweet. Kate nailed it with this body hugging gown with draping. The draping is what made this a stand out for me. Everything about this look is right, from the side swept hair to the muted clutch.
