Found: Your Perfect Holiday Dress

Altuzarra for Target has been the talk of the fashion world since it was announced, and for good reason. The collection is full of beautiful hues, figure flatting shapes, and low cost meets high end glam. Usually not a fan of designer/mass retail collaborations, I was skeptical about this one too. Altuzarra proved me wrong, and I scooped up a draped wrap dress in an alluring burgundy, perfect for the holidays. The best part? It was only $39.99.

Easy Decorating Upgrade

The first thing I do when I get into my bedroom, is take off my jewelry. This leads to me forgetting where I put it down, and freaking out that I lost my prized possessions. I started putting my jewelry in a glass on my desk. Convenient, yes. An eye sore, definitely.

An easy decorating upgrade and quick fix for this solution is to get cute, but inexpensive bowls, and place them wherever you spend the most time. I found one that I really like from Target. It has soft colors and is shaped like something out of the sea.

Peter Pilotto for Target

While I normally do not write about designer/Target collabs, when I saw the lookbook for Peter Pilotto for Target I had to throw something out there. Personally, I think that some collabs, like “Designer for Target” or “Designer for H&M” can be a rip off. You might be getting something that looks designer for a fraction of the price, but the quality is very low. As soon as a designer announces a new collaboration, the masses start marking their calenders and taking off of work. While I will not be doing that, I will have to pick up a piece of this collab for myself.

This collection is playful and has numerous great separates that could easily be mixed into an already existing wardrobe. The party dresses all feature unusual, but flattering, shapes with mixed prints that are begging to be worn. Pilotto did an amazing job with this collection considering that it could have gone in the complete opposite direction of chic.

Pilotto announced his collaboration with Target back in September, and the wait was well worth it. According to Huffington Post, the collection will be priced around $60 a piece, which is much better of a price point than previous collections. The collection will be for sale via Target and Net-a-Porter, making it the first collection shoppers can get internationally. Better be ready for February 9th!
