There really aren’t a lot of things better than a piece of clothing that makes you look and feel your best. With a change of clothes, my day can take a turn for the better. During the summer, that means rotating my favorite sun dresses day to day for a polished but easy look. Luckily, there is never a shortage of updated styles for a fresh new look.
I am not a fan of changing outfits multiple times in one day, so if I can get away with wearing the same thing to go meet friends for dinner or grab drinks with my boyfriend, I will. The key to taking a dress from day to night, are your accessories. Pair a dress during the day with white Birkenstocks, and switch it up at night with a pair of nude wedges.
I found the perfect day to night dress while in Georgia, at Lily Pulitzer. I opted for the dark blue version to stay simple, but it also comes in hot pink. The fabric is very light and won’t feel heavy in the heat. The slip is a little bit shorter than the lace material on the outside, showing a little bit of leg at the end.

This past weekend, I had the pleasure of being in LA. While it might have been the three craziest days of my life, every second counted and I could not have been happier. I took selfies with Eva Chen (multiple times,) was called by my blog name and it wasn’t weird, and chatted with some of the coolest people in the industry. Here are some of my favorite style snapshots from the Lucky Magazine Editor’s brunch that I was lucky enough to attend!

According to me, spring and summer are all about bright colors, flowing sun dresses, and over sized oxfords thrown on with shorts and leather sandals. J.Crew seems to be on the same brain wave as I am, because I could live in their whole collection once the warm weather rolls around and be completely happy. One thing that I love about J.Crew, is the quality. While it might be pricey at times, I still wear the pieces that I have from them three years ago, and mix and match them with my recent purchases. These are the pieces that I’ll be working into my spring and summer wardrobe as soon as it hits 60 degrees:

With summer quickly approaching (well the months of summer at least, clearly not the weather) it’s about that time to kick off summer music festivals. With Coachella the past two weekends, Country music festival stage coach next week and the fast approaching warped tour and Lollapalooza I was inspired by the fashion that are typically related to each different festival. With Coachella it’s all about that gypsy life, Lolla you think bright colors that scream as loud as you are during your favorite headliner, Stage Coach is all about love for America, and Warped Tour is looking like a complete bad ass. I pulled together my favorite looks that reminded me of each of the fun festivals to get us even more excited for the upcoming months!
When I think Coachella I think Free People. Maxi Skirts, crochet tops, flower crowns, the whole nine yards. It also happens to be a large influence on my Spring fashion. I love the soft colors, flowy pieces, and accessories to top it off.
Although I am not a country fan, I have a dear friend who is going to the Stagecoach festival and I’ve had so much fun helping her pick out what to wear. It’s all about pride for your country, so break out the cowboy hats and boots for this festival and rock your best red, white, and blue!
For Lollapalooza, due to its timing in the midst of summer, it’s only right that color is incorporated in some form, my favorite is stacks of colorful bracelets. The diversity of Chicago and the attendants of Lolla makes the Street Style so much more fun to look out for. You get a mix of cut offs with maxis, wedges with flat sandals to high top sneakers mixed with crazy accessories. And this year with headliners like Mumford and Sons and Lana Del Ray who wouldn’t want to be in attendance?
If there is one thing I love about the Vans Warped Tour it’s seeing all the cool graphic tees the concertgoers typically wear. The outfits are typically a mix of graphic tees cut off denims high tops and thrown back hair with bandanas in attempt to stay cool. The simple pieces all thrown together scream I’m ready to party.

When it comes to staying stylish in Chicago weather, Juan Perez (known as Gabe around campus) knows his stuff. This stylish student from Ohio is currently a sophomore at Loyola, majoring in Advertising and Public Relations with a minor in Marketing. His style reflects his personality: fun, different, and comfortable. As you can see, he did an excellent job projecting his personality through his choice of attire. Great job Gabe!
Gabe is wearing:
H&M Cardigan
Thermal, Gray Shirt
Bullhead Jeans from PacSun
Cole Haan Shoes
Brixton Burgundy Beanie from PacSun
Sunglasses Operativ (Skate Shop in Ohio)
“Nate” Watch from Fossil

Hey guys! Sorry I have been MIA for quite some time. I went right from planning and executing the fashion show, to casually dying during the last two weeks with finals. After Tuesday, it’s smooth sailing and I’ll be releasing some pretty cool features. As you may have noticed, we have a new website! I love the new layout and hope you do too.
Anyway, two of my favorite things for this coming Spring season, which is hopefully right around the corner, are adorable spring skirts and crew neck sweatshirts. I love the mixture of ultra feminine pieces paired with something of an urban edge. The patterns I have been seeing around stores on skirts are new and refreshing, not to mention incredibly versatile for summer. Personally, I like to wear guys crewnecks over the girls versions. They are a bit looser and pair well with almost any bottom. Urban Outfitters has a great selection. If this look seems a little boxy to you or does not fit your body type right, try it with a cropped sweatshirt to show off your waist. I rounded up my favorite skirts and sweatshirts for this season below:
1. IC Popsicle Crewneck $68.00
2. Milly Piped Pencil Skirt $245.00
3. Saint Alfred $78.00
4. Rag & Bone Niki Flare Skirt $395.00
5. 10Deep Paradise Crew $128.00
6. Parker Bri Skirt $297.00
7. 10Deep SP13 Nightwork Crew $96.00
8. 10Deep SP13 Nightwork Crew- Navy Roses $96.00

10. TOPSHOP Comic Pop Art Sweat $60.00
11. Club Monaco Cecilia Skirt $129.50
12. TOPSHOP Snake Sweat by Boutique $160.00
13. Adidas C90 Art Fleece Top $ 80.00
14. TOPSHOP Floral Hip Skater Skirt $ 76.00
