Hat: JCrew (New style here) | Long-sleeve Top: Free People | Vest: Nordstrom (Love these here and here) | Jeans: J Brand | Boots: Tory Burch (Loving these dressed up tassel boots and these for sloshing through the Chicago snow) | Bag: Prada
Lexi and I met a few weeks ago on Southport. We walked by the prettiest Christmas decorations right off the main street and a cute red door in an old brick building. I got this vest last year from Nordstrom for easy layering while working in Park City at Sundance Film Festival. Park City has tricky weather because there is a ton of snow, but it stays in the 50s (at least when I have been there!)
I got this little red Prada bag when I was in Milan this past November with my parents. It was a quick trip, but my mom and I spent four straight days shopping and I think I died a little (a lot) and went to heaven. Each store was set up like an art gallery and was truly an experience in itself. I have always been in love with these cute pint-sized bags and as soon as I walked into Prada, knew that one was coming home on my arm.
In my current bag collection I mostly have blacks and nudes that are timeless and will pair well with anything. I chose to go with the little red bag because it still acts as a neutral, pairing well with almost anything you put on.
This little red Prada bag has quickly become my go-to Winter accessory- what is yours?

If boots could kill, this one would knock them dead.
I am a huge fan of transitional pieces that can take me from day to night considering that I am often bouncing between classes, meetings, and events. A great shoe can make an outfit, which is why I’ve been relentlessly searching the interweb for the perfect fall boot. Behold, the Stuart Weitzman ‘Demiswoon’ Over the Knee Boot. If I could only buy one thing this fall, hands down, these would be it. The rubber wedge makes them easy to wear all day, and durable enough to run around the city streets in. The stretchy material would fit perfectly over dark wash jeans. throw on a white t shirt and leather jacket, good to go.
So…can the shoe gods just send these to my door…or? I’ll be waiting.

With the lakefront right at our front door in Chicago, I have a feeling leisurely Saturdays and Sundays will be spent in the sand playing paddle ball and reading magazines with our toes in the water. When you need to cover up a little more, ditch the over sized t-shirt you’ve had since 6th grade and go for something a little bit more grown up.
Cover-ups can be fun and fashionable at any price. I found five that I am currently lusting over and transition well from a day at the beach to a late afternoon beer at the bar. Accessorize with a bright plastic neon chain(like these I found on Etsy), or small gold hoops. Slick your hair back to keep a polished look, and you are good to go!

There are many things to love about Spring. Long walks exploring new parts of the city, eating outside, nature coming back to life…you get the picture. Another thing that I love? The freedom to throw on a dress and go out the door. Often we hear about the magic of the little black dress, but we forget about the little white dress that is equally as amazing. Throw it on with nude wedges, or pack a punch with bright orange peep-toe pumps…there are endless possibilities. Here are my top seven LWDs that you should be rocking right now:

Without differing too much from the spunky street style of previous fashion weeks, editors, bloggers, and celebs alike have been spotted running around in playful pull-overs, slouchy pants, and heels too high for the snow they are trudging through. Personally, I am a fan of the look and pulled some inspiration from a few of my favorite designers this season. Expect a Look For Less heading your way soon.
