Usually when I find a beauty product I like, I remain a loyal user for years on end. Lately I have been feeling more adventurous and expanding my beauty horizons with new beauty products that I am excited to share! Overnight creams, concealers and face polishes. There are so many to choose from so how do you know which one is best for you? I am always a little hesitant in trying products because I do not want to irritate my skin, but so far so good! You will find throughout the reviews that all really do a great job on moisture, which to me is one of my skin’s top priority to maintain.
What beauty product do you swear by? Comment below and let me know!
Having dry skin, I focus a lot on moisture and how long the product keeps my skin hydrated. I have used TULA for about a month and I wake up with a fresh face that is ready for a days work. It contains probiotics and peptides which helps lock in moisture for extended periods of time. If you are willing to splurge on a night cream, I would definitely recommend this product!
I always leave the bathroom with a little glow to my complexion and feel so fresh after using this face polish. I use this product around 2 times a week and it helps scrub away dead skin cells and dirt from my skin.. which is always a plus after a long day at work, the gym, or outside! I love the strawberry seeds that help serve as a scrub too! Versatile much?! I think yes.
Again, I use concealers with caution in fear of causing dryness over time but this concealer actually helps with hydration and gives the same glow all day! I use LIGHT and whenever I use it, it doesn’t move at all.

I have been meaning to channel my inner tourist and share some images that really capture the epitome of Chicago. I wanted to live here for a reason, right? One of the most iconic pictures in Chicago is the infamous CHICAGO marquee located at State and Lake at the Chicago Theatre. I work right next door to it so I get to see it every morning and night as I get off and on the redline. State street is great for shopping (I call the Macy’s the Disneyland shopping adventure of Chicago) and you’re in the heart of the city’s Theatre district where you can easily snag student rush tickets to a show.
It has still been a little colder than usual in Chicago, so I went with a black sweater, torn jeans, and ankle boots. I tend to lightly style my hair during the work week and use more products/ heat on it during the weekends, so I think that could be a reason as to why my hair grows so fast (I am in a desperate need of a haircut…). I shared a few of my hair products I use in case anyone is looking for new product recos! Moroccan oil has been my go to for years, and sometimes I mix it with my Korres Wild Rose + Vitamin C Advanced Brightening Sleeping Facial to give my face ultimate moisture before bed. Any must have black clothing items you have spotted? Let me know!

I was feeling a little fierce when I saw this cute sweater by Kenzo. What I love most about it, is that it’s not something Kenzo usually creates with its repeated pattern and more vibrant colors. Don’t get me wrong, Kenzo pieces are definitely for those looking to make a statement. I thought I would make it a little more street style with high waisted jeans and sneakers. I would definitely check out their sweaters via Nordstrom because their ‘Nagai Eye’ is just a piece that matches the epitome of street style topped with a beanie, ripped jeans and kicks.

Hat: JCrew (New style here) | Long-sleeve Top: Free People | Vest: Nordstrom (Love these here and here) | Jeans: J Brand | Boots: Tory Burch (Loving these dressed up tassel boots and these for sloshing through the Chicago snow) | Bag: Prada
Lexi and I met a few weeks ago on Southport. We walked by the prettiest Christmas decorations right off the main street and a cute red door in an old brick building. I got this vest last year from Nordstrom for easy layering while working in Park City at Sundance Film Festival. Park City has tricky weather because there is a ton of snow, but it stays in the 50s (at least when I have been there!)
I got this little red Prada bag when I was in Milan this past November with my parents. It was a quick trip, but my mom and I spent four straight days shopping and I think I died a little (a lot) and went to heaven. Each store was set up like an art gallery and was truly an experience in itself. I have always been in love with these cute pint-sized bags and as soon as I walked into Prada, knew that one was coming home on my arm.
In my current bag collection I mostly have blacks and nudes that are timeless and will pair well with anything. I chose to go with the little red bag because it still acts as a neutral, pairing well with almost anything you put on.
This little red Prada bag has quickly become my go-to Winter accessory- what is yours?

Now I noticed after taking a second look at my closet, that I am partial to black, grey, and white and I need a little bit more of pa-zazz *insert jazz hands here* when it comes to my wardrobe color ensemble. Being home in California for the week, it is my new mission to get some bright colors to get me through this dreary winter as the worst is yet to come. White and grey colors are always a great color though to wear for special occasions, and since I’ll be in California for Christmas, why not bring my own winter wonderland home with me?! I loved the Gossip Girl Blair Waldorf feel I got with the ruffles around the neckline of this sweater dress, and it’s still comfortable and classy. I wore black tights and my thigh high boots to give it a little more edge, and of course a headband for when I am outside and it is cold!
What color are you planning on wearing for Christmas?! I have recently become a huge fan of the dresses and sweaters at Chichwish.com and Forever 21 has so many simple V-neck sweaters in different colors I want one of each! To me, the outfit above screams Blair Waldorf painting the town red on Christmas Day, and I low key love it. If weather permits and I won’t overheat, I am definitely going to show off this dress and be festive at minimum! Happy Holidays.

If boots could kill, this one would knock them dead.
I am a huge fan of transitional pieces that can take me from day to night considering that I am often bouncing between classes, meetings, and events. A great shoe can make an outfit, which is why I’ve been relentlessly searching the interweb for the perfect fall boot. Behold, the Stuart Weitzman ‘Demiswoon’ Over the Knee Boot. If I could only buy one thing this fall, hands down, these would be it. The rubber wedge makes them easy to wear all day, and durable enough to run around the city streets in. The stretchy material would fit perfectly over dark wash jeans. throw on a white t shirt and leather jacket, good to go.
So…can the shoe gods just send these to my door…or? I’ll be waiting.
