If your skin is anything like mine, the ever changing weather has a serious effect on my skin, often drying it out and in dire need of TLC. I have my daily staples…a cleansing face cream, a moisturizer, under eye cream…and so on and so on. I do a seaweed mask once a week, but sometimes it just does not cut it, and I need something a little bit more moisturizing.
This is where a homemade, all natural, avocado mask comes in. When used in a face mask, avocado is extremely hydrating and nourishing, but will not cause irritation to the skin. Skin feeling flaky and dehydrated? This might be the answer.
Here is what you need:
1 Avocado
1 Lemon
Optional: 1 Orange
Preparation:
Mash the avocado in a bowl, then add one teaspoon of fresh lemon juice, and one teaspoon of fresh orange juice if you so choose. This should form a smooth paste.
Directions:
Apply evenly to face for 20 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water. Too hot of water will simply dry out your skin again, and leave it feeling irritated.
