NYFW Favorites: Chelsea

American fashion designers really stepped up their game for the Fall 2013 season. Although spring hasn’t even started I am extremely excited for the fall fashions! I am glad to know that leather will still be in full effect, since leather is my obsession. Many of the designers rocked the runway, but my top three picks for the season were: Proenza Schouler, Theyskens’ Theory and Jason Wu.

The dynamic duo, Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, really killed it this season. Most of the looks were just black and white, which I love. They had a huge variety from: pants to skirts to dress. There was something for everyone, for every occasion. Look 26 plays with all different colors and textures, which I found to work amazingly.

Olivier Theyskens was thinking into the future when creating these looks. Every look in this collection had a futuristic fee, but was still wearable. He took everyday essentials and added a twist to them. I love Look 2. It is all black with the classic blazer and leather skirt. The leather skirt adds oomph to what can be thought of as a boring blazer.

The third look I absolutely loved was Look 26 from Jason Wu. This look was so clean along with the rest of the collection. The black and white really complemented each other. The girly pleats with the tough leather is what made me fall in love with this look. This outfit could easily go from day-to-night.
