Willy’s Gift Guide

The gift-giving season has arrived! Everyone wants to get the perfect gift for their loved ones, but finding the perfect gift for each person can be really difficult. If you’re like me, you have a long history of trying to pick something unique that you think the person would love and would buy for themselves, and 99% of the time, you’re wrong and they hate it and you cry yourself to sleep. Recently, I have discovered the solution to my gifting troubles. It can be summed up in one simple phrase: “When in doubt, go classic.” These gifts are definitely worth splurging for, since they are timeless and go with almost everything.

2. Sunglasses: Ray-BanWayfarers

In 1952, Ray-Ban designed the Wayfarer sunglasses. Recently, their popularity has skyrocketed one again. These sunglasses are probably the most recognizable sunglasses in the entire world and are definitely a fashion staple.
Who doesn’t love a good, classic blue pinstripe oxford!? Oxfords are so versatile and modern. They can be dressed down with a pair of jeans, and dressed up with a nice pair of slacks. Definitely a great gift.
If you can’t tell, I think versatility is great for gifts. Tweed pants have recently become more acceptable for casual wear, and I think that’s a great trend. I love the cut of these pants, as well as the color and texture. Obviously I just love everything about them.

As my parents could tell you, I’ve wanted a leather messenger bag since I’ve been able to talk. I just think they look so classy. I love the vintage look of this bag, but the modern conveniences like the padded laptop pocket make it totally functional for everyday use.

These shoes may not be classic, but I am head over heels in love with them. I love the brown with the maroon accents, as well as the combination of retro and modern elements in the shoe.
This watch is so modern and sleek, and the stainless steel really gives it a polished feel. It can easily be for daily use, but can be worn out for a nice dinner or in a professional environment.
